STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
My Brief Introduction:
I am Anil Nepal, a permanent inhabitant of Tansen- 02, Palpa, Nepal. My Date of Birth is 17/11/1991 and Passport Number is 05872964. I want to pursue my dream of gaining an international degree from Australia as I found that this country offers the best course in the field of Engineering in which I am solely interested and want to pursue my future. I completed my Bachelor’s of Technology in the field of Environmental Engineering from one of the reputed university of Nepal that is Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal. Getting inspiration in the field of environmental engineering since my childhood and my core interest to become a successful and professional engineer; I am interested to complete my higher degree qualification from abroad.
Why am I applying to study in Australia?
I am applying to study in Australia because Australia is a dynamic and vibrant country with a great deal to offer students looking for international education. Choosing to come to Australia to study will provide me with a whole new view of the world and wonderful opportunities and experiences, with exciting and progressive world-class education programs. Since international students contribute strongly to the economy of Australia, the government takes special interest in regulating the education sector, and the presence of many universities in Australia in the top 100 of the world rankings speaks highly of the government’s efforts to get student to study in Australia. That is more than enough for me to select Australia as a destination for study because even if a particular university is not ranked among the world’s best, there is a guarantee that it would strive to do so and never compromise on the quality of education. That being said, there is much more that prompted me to choose study in Australia, even though the cost of education is relatively high. Once I have spent my time and money in acquiring education in any country, it seems only justified for me to wish to work in that environment for some time before heading back to my country or going elsewhere to chase my dreams. The recent changes in government policy make it easier for international students to work in Australia once they complete their education (conditions apply) and hence they can add value to their résumés not only through international education but also through international work experience.
Reasons for choosing UOW over other options:
I did research on different colleges and Australia through net surfing to find best education provider in the field of environmental engineering and I found University of Wollongong the perfect university for my study because it is consistently ranked among the top Australian universities for the quality of its teaching, research, graduate employment rates and student experience and UOW has been placed in the top 2% of universities in the world by its performance in The Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings 2014/2015 and the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2014. The University of Wollongong is a leading Australian university with an international reputation for academic excellence. UOW provides an inspiring study environment – on the main Wollongong campus, or at its downtown Sydney Business School. The University offers degree programs across all levels of study (undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and research), as well as English language and academic bridging programs through UOW College with affordable fee structure.
